2023 – July part 2

Hey again,

Quick work update: it looks like this next role will have me shifting the hours we have been working. Instead of the typical 8 to 5, M-F, we will be shifting from (depending on the day) 12 to 8 and 2 to 10. Some calls go until midnight or later. Days off are Friday and Saturday. Not so impressed with those hours, but it’ll pay the bills.

This week is pretty much our last week of a normal schedule before we shift over. This is also a week where the kids have been able to go to VBS.

Pretty typically when they go, we have driven to other locations. We find a spot to charge the car, then find something to do. One day we took Luca to Mcdonald’s, another day we went for dessert at the Cheesecake factory. Just depends on where we were. Here is a photo of all the kids one evening when we took a quick trip to Ikea (side note, they love the space in the Van).

What else happened?

There was an event in our area for families and we happened to be in the area when it was going on so we stopped by. The kids filled up on popcorn, cotton candy, and popsicles. The wife even got something as well.

After the event had finished we were in the ‘golden hour’ for photo taking (which is when the sun is setting and the sky lights up). We stopped by a park on the way back to home and took some photos of the kiddos.

The following day we went to church and the guest speaker gave a breakdown of Psalms. I must say, I almost felt like I was back in college (and it wasn’t by mistake, the person had taught this section as a class in college before, and pulled from that).

We finished our new “weekend” by painting some of the side tables that the kids colored on. That is pretty much how we wrapped our month up.

just Pray
